Wendy Oesterling, alto, joined Winchester Musica Viva in September 1995, two months after moving to Winchester from Northern Virginia. In addition to singing, Wendy served as Managing Director for WMV for more than 10 years. She earned the degree of BMus in Organ and Church Music from Wittenberg University and a Masters in Church Music (Choral Conducting concentration) from Shenandoah University. Wendy spent the first 25+ years of her career in the field of computer training, then taught chorus and orchestra in high school for 13 years. She currently works for Bethania Kids Foundation, who serve 1000 impoverished children and women in India. Wendy is Music Director at Grace Episcopal Church in Berryville, and is the founding conductor of the Piedmont Singers, a music ministry outreach choir celebrating their 25th anniversary this year. She and husband, Jim Greene (retired rock & roll guitar player), share their home with canine and feline companions, Bernie, Lily, and Maxi.
