Thanks to an invitation from her former co-worker and mentor, Connie Robeson, Angela (Angie) Flook started singing with Winchester Musica Viva in the spring of 2023. While she thoroughly enjoyed teaching middle school music (choral, instrumental, and general) for 15 years, Angie currently works as a freelance arts administrator and as the Operations and Educational Programs Coordinator of the Maryland Symphony Orchestra. She has a Bachelor of Music Education from Shepherd University and is eager to complete her M.S. in Performing Arts Leadership and Management from the Conservatory at Shenandoah University. As a member of a wind ensemble, jazz band, or chamber choir, Angie has performed at Carnegie Hall and throughout the mid-Atlantic region and in Canada. She has also toured in Ireland, Italy and the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and played alongside notable artists such as Fred Hughs, Juanita Williams, and Kenny Werner.
Angie volunteers as a gardener and is on the fundraising committee at Fox Haven Farm & Learning Center. She lives to travel and enjoys outdoor recreation, gardening, ceramic arts, learning new skills, playing her bassoon in a community wind ensemble, cooking, home renovations, and time with friends and family. Angie lives in Frederick, Maryland.
