Karen Schlosser, accompanist and alto, is active as a collaborative musician in the Winchester area. Through the years she has accompanied musical theater productions, operas, choral groups, district choruses, recitals and NATS as well as singing in, arranging for and directing various vocal ensembles and coaching singing. Currently Karen is accompanist at Shenandoah University and PAVAN, the choral groups at Shenandoah Conservatory Arts Academy and choirs at multiple schools in the surrounding area as well as district choruses. She serves as director of music and pianist at First Christian Church and teaches private lessons. Karen received a Bachelor of Music degree from Concordia College in Moorhead MN, a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from Western Michigan University and completed additional post graduate studies in piano with Matti Raekallio, and voice at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland.
Karen lives in Winchester and enjoys spending free time with her five children and spouses and her six grandchildren.
